Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
When a name, location, or other search detail is entered into a search tool on this site, that query is handled by the outside provider operating the tool. The provider processes the request and returns its results. We do not maintain our own log of those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you send a direct message by email or another contact method, we keep the message long enough to review and respond. We do not sell or publish those messages, and we share them outside the organization only when required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, routine technical information may be collected automatically:
- IP address
- Browser name and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and approximate time on page
- Referring site, when available
- Date and time of the visit
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies may be used to understand traffic patterns, remember basic site preferences, and measure which pages are used most often. Analytics providers aggregate that activity for site-performance review. Browser settings usually allow cookies to be limited or blocked, though some features may not behave the same after they are disabled.
What We Do With This Data
- Operating, securing, and troubleshooting the site
- Routing search-tool submissions to the proper outside provider
- Reviewing which Craighead County record topics visitors use most
- Improving page speed, navigation, and technical reliability
- Displaying advertising that may be relevant to general site activity
No Criminal-Record Data on File
This site does not maintain, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal-record information. It publishes general routing information for Craighead County records held by the sheriff, Circuit Court, District Court, Arkansas State Police / Arkansas Department of Public Safety systems, ACIC, the Arkansas Department of Corrections, and the Arkansas Sex Offender Registry / Arkansas Sex Offender Notification System. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party criminal-history files.
Third-Party Search Partners
Search boxes on this site are powered by outside companies. Information entered into those tools is processed under the partner's own privacy policy, not this policy. Those companies decide their own retention, billing, and sharing practices, and we do not control those decisions.
Links to Other Websites
The site links to resources such as the Craighead County Sheriff's Office, Search ARCourts / CourtConnect, Arkansas State Police background-check pages, ACIC registry pages, and local court or police portals. Once you leave this site, the destination website's privacy policy controls that visit.
Advertising partners may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and display targeted advertising. That tracking is governed by the advertiser's policies.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Limited information may be handled by:
- Search partners that process search-tool queries
- Analytics providers used for traffic and performance measurement
- Advertising networks that serve ads on the site
- Government or law-enforcement entities when a valid legal order requires disclosure
How We Protect Your Data
We use reasonable security practices for the information we collect. No internet-connected service can be guaranteed perfectly secure, so we cannot promise that unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that a minor provided personal information, we will delete it as appropriate.
Your Data Rights
Depending on where you live, applicable privacy, consumer-protection, and records laws may give you additional rights over personal data. Arkansas public-records access is governed separately by the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act, Ark. Code Ann. 25-19-101 et seq.; Arkansas criminal-history dissemination rules, including Ark. Code Ann. 12-12-1009, control state repository information and do not make this site an official record custodian. At a minimum, you can:
- Ask what personal information we maintain about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Ask that personal information be deleted where deletion is legally available
- Opt out of certain processing when applicable law provides that option
