About Craighead County Criminal History

Criminal records in Craighead County sit in several different systems: the Craighead County Sheriff's Office, Circuit Court and District Court records in Jonesboro and Lake City, the Arkansas Department of Public Safety - Arkansas State Police Identification Bureau, the Arkansas Department of Corrections, and the Arkansas Sex Offender Registry / Arkansas Sex Offender Notification System. The goal is to make those record paths easier to sort out without treating any one database as a complete criminal-history file.

Why We Built This Site

Arkansas gives public access to many criminal-justice records, but Craighead County has a practical routing problem because the county is split between the Western District in Jonesboro and the Eastern District in Lake City. Booking and jail information starts with the sheriff's RPS roster and sheriff FOIA channels. Felony files and District Court appeals belong with Circuit Court, while misdemeanor, traffic, hot-check, and older district records may require District Court or the legacy Craighead District Court search. State repository checks run through Arkansas State Police systems, and registry information is managed through ACIC.

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site. It is not connected to any Arkansas court, the Craighead County Sheriff's Office, Jonesboro Police Department, ACIC, Arkansas State Police, or any other government agency. There are real limits to what a private reference site can do:

  • We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
  • We cannot file record-sealing petitions, Arkansas FOIA requests, or any other paperwork on your behalf
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
  • We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now

Only the office that maintains the original record - the sheriff, the clerk of court, Arkansas State Police, ACIC, or another official custodian - can confirm or issue an official copy.

Search Partners

Some pages include search boxes run by third-party providers. Those providers operate their own services, set their own prices, and control their own results. If a visitor uses one of those tools and later buys a paid product, this site may receive a referral fee. Those tools are separate from Arkansas State Police, Search ARCourts / CourtConnect, the Craighead County Sheriff's Office, and other official record custodians.
